Endless Bliss: The Strangest Course You Don't Want to Miss.
It's a bizarre online course - but it's one everyone should do.
My Spring Course is about the teachings and yoga of the mid twentieth century Indian guru Bhagawan Nityananda. If you know about Bhagawan Nityananda, you’ve probably already signed up for the course. If you don’t know about him, you’re probably like “Who TF is that and Why TF would I want to spend four weeks learning about him”.
It’s hard to explain in a Substack but “he” really isn’t a “he”. He is really a “that”. The course is not a biographical course about a spiritual master. Nityananda was a great spiritual master, but the course isn’t so much about “him” as is it about what he represented: the grace, love, presence and divine power embodied in a human form.
It’s funny to say this, but he was barely human.
I am all about us embodying our humanity fully as we pursue the spiritual path. 100%. And oddly, I’ve learned that from him. But yeah, he was barely human. He barely spoke and lived in a very strange manner, totally absorbed in the Divine. He was a powerful siddha who had all kinds of mystical powers. Many miracles were ascribed to him. But his main gift was the ability to help people to realize God withing their own being.
He was a full embodiment of That. It is believed that was born in a state of full divine consciousness. Many charlatans and fake gurus make this claim. And everyone wants THIER guru to be the divinest incarnation. But Nityananda never made such claims. He just was that. He was like a doorway for people to have a vision of that full yogic absorption known as samadhi - and still is.
The course is not just about “him”. It’s a four week exploration of what he represents and four weeks of practice in community. It’s on Zoom - so it’s super convenient and each of the lessons is recorded so you can access them at any time.
We will be learning four meditation practices related to Nityananda and practicing each of them during the sessions.
Why Now?
I know there is a lot going on, and a lot of really horrible scary things happening in the world right now. The timing of this course is intentional. Nityananda’s main time as a guru was from around 1930 until 1961. Think about that era in the world and all that was happening: The rise of Hitler, the communist revolution in China, WWII, the Holocaust, the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the first Palestinian Nakba, the independence and partition of India, the cold war… too many things to even list.
And though all this, he was there, anchoring Divine Consciousness and showing everyone else the way. I believe his presence is very important right now. I invite you with all my heart to join us for the course. We start soon - May 6!
